Description

An incomplete set of 1950s hand-painted dinnerware decorated with a variety of Provencal chapels and houses (Mas in Provence!) The undulating edges are finished with pale green. They were made at the Cerenne Atelier in Vallauris during the 1950s and bear the atelier s stamp underneath. These would look wonderful displayed on a wall.

Note chips and cracks as seen in photos. With undulating borders and a green glaze.

The Cerenne Workshop was a ceramic creation studio active in Vallauris between 1945 and 1958. Founded by Charles René Neveux, it derived its name from the contraction of its business name Céramique René Neveux. At its peak, the workshop was one of Vallauris s largest, employing around fifty people, including fifteen decorators. Its production ranged from utility ceramics to unique pieces, fulfilling special orders for both French and international clients.
